Back in 2020 I was looking for a van for us to load all the kart team stuff into and the Sprinter LWB was the one most teams at the track had
The best thing about it was its size (full size double bed to sleep in and large garage area access from the rear doors

I came across this one on ebay that was being used by a guy who raced motor bikes and was using it as it was
We went down and had a look and made him an offer

Below are some pictures of it when we bought it (These are the before I started doing the conversion)

So the first thing I did was strip down the existing vans interior as this was not insulated and had no sound proofing

I then got the windows cut and fitted by a company in kent

Then on to the design stage with some software called VanSpace (www.vanspace3d.com)

Once I had a design idea in place I started on the task of sound proofing and insulation
I also ran my low voltage cables for light and other powered devices
This was very time consuming as insolation was pushed into all the body panels

Then I started with the cabinet making
these where made from inch square frame and covered in 12mm plywood
I found this very strong once built
Then after covered in 4 way stretch carpet to give a warm feel

Installing the heater and aux battery charging system was next along with the cooker sink and led lights

Next I built the rear bed area
This was built from 2 inch square wood covered in stretch carpet and then fixed at spaced intervals to make
a base for the bed to rest

Then i started finishing off and tidying up fitting and fixtures
Here is the laying of the boot area vinyl and covering the wheel arches in stretch carpet

Then last was soft furnishings seating covers made by my Mum (Thankyou xxx)
Curtain kits from VanPimps  (cheaper to buy than make)

Here is the finished interior ready for a weekend away

So as you can see this is just a small part of the conversion and pictures
Total time from start to finish 8 month of my spare time
It is possible for anyone to do this and a lot of my ideas where backed up with other people and YouTube
So thanks for viewing this build and watch out for my next project
